Ceci Berman

Ceci Culpepper Berman is the Managing Shareholder of Brannock Berman & Seider and a board-certified appellate lawyer whose practice focuses on complex commercial appeals and other high-stakes matters. She has extensive experience handling significant appellate disputes, including bet-the-business cases, and also regularly represents clients in bankruptcy, family law, and land use appeals.

Ceci has built a strong reputation for appellate advocacy in Florida and beyond. Her work encompasses appeals in state and federal courts, including matters before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court. She is admitted in all Florida courts and before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Florida.

Her involvement in appellate law extends well beyond her client work. Ceci is a past Chair of The Florida Bar’s Appellate Practice Section and has held numerous leadership roles within the Section, including responsibility for appellate education and certification programs. She has also served on the Florida Appellate Court Rules Committee and is a past Chair of the Florida Civil Procedure Rules Committee, contributing directly to the development of procedural rules governing litigation and appeals in the state.

Ceci is frequently recognized among Florida’s leading appellate practitioners. She has been ranked Band 1 for Appellate Litigation by Chambers USA and has appeared in its appellate rankings for more than a decade. She has also been listed in The Best Lawyers in America for Appellate Practice since 2013 and Commercial Litigation since 2015. Florida Super Lawyers has repeatedly named her among the Top 100 lawyers in Florida and Top 50 women lawyers in the state, while Florida Trend and other publications have also recognized her appellate and litigation work.

Ceci earned her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, where she received the CALI Award for Excellence in Trial Practice and served as Business Editor of the Georgetown Immigration Law Journal. She previously earned her B.A., with honors, from the University of Florida. She is also a Fellow of both the American Bar Foundation and Florida Bar Foundation.
